Deborah L. Mockus
As City Administrator since 2008, Deborah's responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the City which include serving the City Council through preparing agendas, recording and distributing minutes of City Council meetings; performing Financial Officer duties; fulfilling Human Resources responsibilities; serving as Certified Court Clerk for Arcade Municipal Court; administering all Planning and Zoning for the city; fulfilling City Clerk duties serving as the Elections Superintendent and serving the public with efficiency, promptness and courtesy.
Deborah has a Masters of Education degree from Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts, in Recreation and Leisure Services/Public Administration. She has over 30 years of experience in the parks & recreation profession, 20 years of which have been at the Director level administering the delivery of leisure services to communities of various sizes.
A native of Massachusetts, she moved to Georgia in 1996, to pursue her career in the Parks & Recreation profession. At this time she is furthering her career goals in Public Administration.
Deborah lives in Commerce, GA, and enjoys riding horses, touring the country roads on her Soft Tail Deluxe HD with friends, running, hiking, and gardening.

OCCUPATION AND BUSINESS LICENSES:
Business license application packets (application, affidavit, and background consent form) can be obtained from City Hall during normal business hours or downloaded from the link below. There is a $25.00 administrative processing fee plus a yearly fee which is based on the type of business. All business license requests are reviewed and approved by the City Council.
